Friendly Reflections

The end of a year is a time for refection and I have been reflecting on the amazing people I have met during 2013. Some in ‘real life’ as clients and some via ‘cyberspace’.

People like the wonderful Amy Chessman who used my Raw Chocolate recipe in a superb blog post about Cacao Although I have never met Amy in person, I feel I have a great connection with her via the wonderful medium that is commonly known as Twitter.

In fact, I have ‘met’ many amazing people through Twitter….too many people to thank in one blog post, but if you use it, connect with me and see who I follow…. some of the most inspiring people I have ever ‘met’

If it wasn’t for Louise Hulland I would still be procrastinating about writing my book and my blog posts would not be as frequent. Apparently the information I have written about Manifesting has helped many people, so watch this space…. the book is ‘in progress’. I have four chapters and have found myself an illustrator! The wonderful talent that is Annabel Tempest. I have known Annabel for many years as a client, never once thinking her design work would be of use to me. Well, there is now a reason! She came into my life for a reason, as a client, then a season, as a neighbour (I moved to her village) and now who knows…. a lifetime? Friends come and go. Some close friends become more of an acquaintance, and then fall away altogether. I used to get upset when people disappeared and ‘moved on’. Now I embrace it and realise that there is always a bigger picture. As friends ebb and flow, embrace the new and be thankful for the old. A few more good connections for you…. people who have helped me, inspired me and hopefully will be around me for quite some time. The wonderful Phil at Hands On in Braunton, Devon. Quite extra ordinary therapies…. but shhhh don’t tell everyone or I won’t get an appointment! The superb beauty and holistic writer and blogger Jane Alexander, (aka ExmoorJane) with whom I would never have found Phil. The intricate weaving of the universe and synchronicity at its best. Her blog posts are worth signing up for. The wonderful inspiration that is Ann-See Yeoh, who I found through Twitter and has taught me more about yoga in a few day workshops than I would ever get in weekly classes!

People come in to your life for a Reason, a Season or a Lifetime

When you figure out which one it is you will know what to do for each person. The synchronicity of the universe is beautiful and sometimes complex, especially if we try to over think things. Go with the flow. Everything happens for a reason.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty; to provide you with guidance and support; to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
