Sunscreen

I have two ‘hats’ when I work. My ‘Beauty Therapist’ mode where I have a passion for helping skin…. Young, old, sensitive problematic….dehydrated, congested, wrinkled, tired. It’s what I do the most of in a working week. Educating the young, and rescuing the not so young. Facials. Beautiful, relaxing powerful facials. Knowledge and experience. My other ‘hat’ is my Reiki healing….Shamanic influenced healing with La Stone Therapy and massage. The continual evolving nature of the universe and my spiritual development over the past years, has enabled me to treat others in a unique way. Pathways, journeys …whatever you like to call them, are all different. Every client is different and a joy. Today I listened to a song on the radio that summed up many things I pass on to my clients.

Sunscreen by Baz Luhrmann

Listen to it if you have never heard it. My favourite excerpts….. ”Enjoy the beauty and power of your youth. Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours. Don’t waste your time on jealousy; Sometimes you’re ahead, Sometimes You’re behind. The race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself. Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults. Enjoy your body, use it every way you can… Don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own… Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.

Understand that friends come and go, but for the precious few you should hold on. Wear sunscreen. If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it.”

So, take from that what you will….

Wear sunscreen, protect your skin. Live life. Laugh like there is no tomorrow

and dance like no one is watching.
