I’ve been away for a week and away from the local news, only seeing posts on social media that were an escalating frenzy of vicious supermarket fights over toilet rolls, and conflicting news about who should self-isolate from potential coronavirus and who shouldn’t. I’ve always found it hard to understand why people are slow to take advice, when it’s quite apparent the information they are being given would really help them. It’s taken me years to not take it personally and to just sit back and wait. This is one of those times when people are hearing about something in the news and now they are asking me about it, rather than me telling them. I guess it’s all about timing.
