My debut exhibition!

What an incredible few days! Who would have thought a year ago I would be holding my debut exhibition? Things have moved so quickly it’s incredible. If you have been a follower of mine for a while, you will know that this is a natural progression from the healing work I already do, but not to worry, I am still working one to one with clients. Both ways of working go hand in hand together.

The preview night on Wednesday was everything and more. Such a lovely buzz with people also wandering round the grounds of The Langford and having a tours of the rooms. It was a shame that I didn’t get chance to talk to everyone on the night – it was just like the old days when I opened a new salon! Thank you to everyone who came!

I didn’t get chance to answer everyones questions, and these seem to be the ones that cropped up the most:-

How do I know what to paint when its not something tangible?

How do I name a piece?

What if the ‘energy’ isn’t flowing when you need to paint?

Why is the paper so ‘special?’

How do you find time to do both jobs?

Lots of questions and fascination with the process I use!

Inspiring others to follow their path.

The second night was much quieter, which was one of those ‘meant to be’ moments, as a neighbour brought her autistic son to look round. He had seen the event advertised on Facebook and really wanted to visit as part of his GCSE work.

What a delight! I could spend time explaining how I work and showed him all the pieces that didn’t make it to the

exhibition for one reason or another – I’m all for showing the mistakes as well! It’s all about the journey. *wink*

He ended up taking a piece home as part of his project. Apparently, he is now inspired to paint. That’s what I love about my ‘job’, either with my treatments, or now with the art. Inspiring others is a natural thing for me.

I will be there between 11 and 4 tomorrow – 6th October if you want to wander in and have a look. There are lots of pieces you won’t have already seen. All sizes, and affordable prices.

View by appointment.

If you missed the whole event, my work can still be seen at The Langford.

A few thank you notes.

I couldn’t have done this without Aquara Soma – A great friend who I met many years ago in another meant to be, woo woo moment. If you have been to me for treatments, you will know the crystal painting behind the treatment couch? That was painted for my space. Painted with guided intuition and energy. Who would have thought that connection would bring me here? I am now an artist in my own right!

Another thank you to Julie Reed, who is a friend, Reiki Student of mine, and the most talented  amateur photographer. The stunning photos on the night were all hers. Follow her on Instagram as @joojums

Beautiful flowers from Helen Toon – Badbury Flower Company.

My framing was done by Oakley at Quantock Art and Framing and as you know, the paper I use is from Two Rivers Mill on Exmoor – the essence of water in traditional handmade rag paper.

Thank you all so much for the support! Energy Art is amazing!
